Kratom is harvested from a kratom tree, scientifically known as the Mitragyna speciosa. Its leaves are dried and ground up into a powder, which is what makes up the products you receive from us. When these leaves are harvested at different times in their maturity cycle, the resulting kratom products make up a variety of alkaloid content.

Red vein kratom is one of the most well-known and popular variety. This form of kratom comes from mature leaves, which may display a red stem and red veins on the underside when they are harvested or during drying. Green vein kratom leaves are often harvested when the plant is younger and minimally dried. Depending on the kratom’s "vein", it will influence the alkaloid content and each strain can become high in alakoids compared to the other.

The maturity level of the kratom leaf and drying process will give all natural kratom leaf products a unique alkaloid profile. Alkaloids are the properties contained within the kratom leaves that may result in a physiological effect for humans. Don’t be wary of the term, alkaloids are organic compounds present in a variety of common household items. The two most well-known alkaloids in kratom are mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine. Different levels of these, along with other present alkaloids, affect the strength of your kratom.
